Roofing is a tough job. It is tough on our bodies and takes a toll over the years. With a father and grandfather in the roofing business I can honestly say I have been born and bred in the roofing industry. Since those early years, I have tried to find ways to make the roofer’s life simpler and more efficient. At 8 years old I glued soft foam to the soles of my shoes. To my dismay this produced a lot of laughs from the roofing crew. Fast-forward a few years and the launch of a similar product called Cougar Paws became available to roofers.

It wasn’t until my early 30s that I revisited the idea of simplifying the roofing process and putting the crews first. Believe it or not the Pitch Hopper was simply inspired by an adjustable-angle tree stand. Again, I thought, what if I glued foam to the bottom of it! 

With the help of a great friend with an incredible engineering mind, Phil T and I began tackling the logistics of the Pitch Hopper. Taking into consideration weight, material, angles and cost Phil and I traveled all over Michigan looking for the best options we could offer roofers. And after many prototypes we arrived at the Pitch Hopper.

We believe the Pitch Hopper is the perfect combination of light weight material and durability. The Pitch Hopper will ease the demanding workload of any roofer.
